Abstract

The application provides a network packet rule set classification method and a network packet rule set classification device. The method comprises the steps as follows: encoding network packet rules in a network packet rule set based on preset encoding rules; after encoding the network packet rules in the network packet rule set, constructing a network packet rule set state machine based on the encoded network packet rules in the network packet rule set; and classifying the network packet rule set according to the network packet rule set state machine. By using the method and the device, the network packet rule set state machine can be constructed by reducing the network packet rules in the network packet rule set from multiple dimensions to one dimension, and the network packet rules in the network packet rule set can be classified according to the constructed network packet rule set state machine.
