The control method includes the steps: acquiring a multi-frame continuous face image; processing the multi-frame continuous face image to recognize a mouth zone; determining a mouth change state of a user according to the mouth zone; determining if the mouth change state meets a preset condition or not; and triggering preset eye protection setting of a screen when the mouth change state meets the preset condition. In addition, the invention also discloses a control device. The control method and the control device can determine the degree of fatigue of the user according to the mouth change state of the user, and then trigger the preset eye protection setting of the screen so as to reduce eye stress of the user in the fatigue state and protect vision of the user.
