Abstract

The invention requests to protect a fuzzy vertical handoff method for personalized services of a terminal in a heterogeneous network. According to the method, aiming at differences of requirements of different types of applications in the terminal on quality of services (QoS), influence of dynamic variation of a network load state on handoff performance is considered, performance optimization is performed from two aspects: firstly, at a network finding stage, candidate networks are screened by forecasting load states of the candidate networks at handoff time; and then at a handoff judgment stage, different subordinating degree functions are designed according to different requirement ranges of each type of applications on QoS parameters. Experimental results show that the method can effectively reduce a handoff blocking rate and improve throughput of a system, and can also reasonably select the handoff network according to the application type of the terminal, thus meeting requirements on the personalized services of the terminal.
