Abstract

The invention discloses a method and equipment for predicting an equipment access number of a wireless network. The method is applied to an environment in which N wireless network access points are arranged, and N is a positive integer. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring an at-least-one-waiting-people-number curve of at least one waiting region correlated with each wireless network access point in the N wireless network access points in a second preset time period after a current moment; acquiring a multidimensional model for representing a relationship between the equipment access number and a waiting people number; and based on the at-least-one-waiting-people-number curve and the multidimensional model, determining an estimated value of the equipment access number of each wireless network access point in the second preset time period. The method and the equipment are used for solving the technical problem how to analyze an access number of each wifi point in a period in future according to a historical access condition of the wifi point in the environment, and achieves the technical effect of providing a prediction algorithm to predict the equipment access number of each wireless network access point in the environment in one period in future.
