Abstract

The invention provides a display panel drive circuit and a drive method thereof. The circuit comprises a plurality of first switch units and a plurality of second switch units corresponding to the first switch units in a one-to-one manner. The first switch units are connected with two adjacent data lines, and are used for selecting and outputting digital voltage signals of the two data lines connected with the first switch units. The second switch units are used for selecting digital voltage signals outputted by the first switch units, outputting the digital voltage signals to pixels of corresponding columns of the six adjacent pixel columns, sequentially turning on the pixels corresponding to scanning lines at odd number of rows while outputting the digital voltage signals to the pixels of the corresponding columns, and then turning on the pixels corresponding to scanning lines at even number of rows. The pixels of the corresponding columns, outputting the digital voltage signals of the two adjacent data lines, are interchanged through the first and second switch units. The device can reduce the jump frequency of the data lines, and reduces the power consumption of a display panel.
