Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for multi-core CPU contract letting. The method and device are applied to network equipment based on SMP architecture. The method comprises the steps of statically allocating all CPU of a multi-core CPU to sole downgoing internal channels; extracting message characteristics of a message when the message sent by a transferring chip is received; allocating a target CPU to the message based on the extracted message characteristics, sending the message to the target CPU, processing the message through the target CPU, and after processing is completed, returning a processing result to the transfer chip through the downgoing internal channels allocated to the target CPU. According to the method and device for multi-core CPU contract letting, a correlated technique is solved, the CPU returns the processing result to the transferring chip according to the multiple downgoing internal channels, and processing time delays of interfaces of the multiple downgoing internal channels are different, which results in the out-of-order problem of the message.
