A plurality of T profiles and a plurality of counterweights are mounted on the ship model. A plurality of strain gauges are also mounted on the ship model. The strain gauges are connected with a charge amplifier. The charge amplifier is sequentially connected with a multi-channel information collection instrument and a computer. The experimental device enables students to have an understanding of the basic causes of maximum torque produced by a ship and the basic principle of formation of maximum torque. The ship model produces a torque in the experiment, which enables students to have an intuitive understanding of the torque problem of a container ship.
