Abstract

The invention relates to a tyre comprising a tread layer (3), said tread layer comprising a running surface suitable for coming into contact with the roadway, a shoulder area (5) partly delimiting the tread layer (3), and a plurality of complex cutouts (6) extending into the tread layer (3) and into the shoulder area (5). Each complex cutout (6) comprises an incision (7) opening out on the running surface and a channel (8) extending the incision (7) into the depth of the tread layer and opening out on a surface (9) of the shoulder area (5). The channel (8) of the incision (7) comprises a main portion (11) extending into the tread layer (3) and a wider portion (12) extending into the shoulder area (5) from the main portion of the channel up to the surface (9) of the shoulder area (5). Viewed in cross-section, the wider portion (12) makes an output angle [Delta] of less than 90 degrees with the surface (9) of the shoulder area (5).
