Abstract

The invention discloses a software-defined storage performance evaluation method. The method comprises the steps of (1) establishing a hardware environment; (2) establishing a basic hardware performance baseline; (3) deploying storage software; (4) preliminarily testing performance indexes; (5) optimizing a configuration capability of the storage software; (6) retesting the performance indexes; and (7) evaluating the performance indexes, and after the evaluation process is ended, taking a physical performance baseline exertion percentage as an index in an evaluation result, wherein the index covers contents such as bandwidth, time delay, IOPS, concurrent capability and the like. The invention discloses the performance evaluation method for software-defined storage in type selection of a basic framework of an information system; and the method is distinguished from a mode with the help of hard indexes such as IOPS, capacity, scale and the like in a current performance evaluation process, pays more attention to an extraction capability of software to existing hardware performance, and better conforms to reality of software-defined storage enterprise application.
