Problems solved by technology

For example, a virtualized instance can be configured according to the CPU main frequency of 1G and memory of 2G, or it can be configured according to the CPU main frequency of 2G and memory of 4G. This configuration lacks precision. If the initially configured instance If the specification is too high, resources will be wasted. If the instance specification of the initial configuration is too low, the resources allocated to the instance will be insufficient.

Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for automatically and flexibly expanding and contracting virtual resources. The method comprises: receiving a monitoring alarm for at least one working indicator of a target expanding and contracting group; determining an expanding and contracting policy for the target expanding and contracting group according to the monitoringalarm; when the expanding and contracting policy is adding an instance, obtaining the instance specification of the target expanding and contracting group, wherein the instance specification is determined in advance according to the statistical information of the monitoring data of at least one working indicator of the target expanding and contracting group; and sending an adding instance requestcarrying the instance specification to an instance resource management platform, so that the instance resource management platform adds an instance to the target expanding and contracting group according to the instance specification. The instance specification of the added instance in the embodiments of the present invention is updated according to the load conditions reflected by the working indicators of the expanding and contracting group, and resource allocation accuracy and resource utilization of instances of the expanding and contracting group can be improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of electronic technology, in particular to a method and device for automatic elastic expansion and contraction of virtual resources. Background technique [0002] The elasticity of resources is an important characteristic of cloud computing data centers, which is mainly realized based on the automatic elastic scaling (Auto Scaling) technology. Automatic elastic scaling technology adopts a fixed automatic elastic scaling strategy. When the load of an application's scaling group increases or decreases, the number of virtualized instances in the application's scaling group increases or decreases accordingly. In practical applications, since the cloud computing data center often cannot predict the actual load demand of the application, when the current load demand exceeds or is about to exceed the load that the resources of the cloud computing data center can bear, the cloud computing data center needs to add more Virtua...
