The battery pack heating system is used for the electric vehicle and comprises a power supply input end, a power supply output end, a heating branch, a plurality of heating units and a power branch, wherein the electric vehicle comprises a battery management unit and a potential control unit, a heating switch componentis connected to one end of the heating branch and is switched on or switched off by control of the battery management unit, the heating units are connected in series to the heating branch, a protection switch component is connected between at least one group of two adjacent heating units and is switched on or switched off by control of the potential control unit, and the power branch and the heating branch are arranged in parallel between the power supply input end and the power supply output end. The protection switch component can be switched on or switched off by control of the potential control unit, and thus, the problem of circulation heating between a battery and the heating units caused by a circuit fault can be effectively solved by the battery pack heating system.
