Benefits of technology

This technology helps reduce costs associated with current methods used to determine bladders' volumes while reducing their invasiveness during medical procedures or physical therapy sessions. It also makes measurements faster than previous techniques like X rays, making them ideal tools for noninvasive testing at home without requiring expensive equipment such as an xray machine.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of accurately detecting the amount (volume) of urge produced during physical activity such as walking, running, swimming, etc., especially from decreased urgency due to reduced blood flow caused by diseases like renal failure. Current techniques involve collecting small amounts of fluid within the bladders, analyzing them over time, and inferring their function based upon these collected samples. However, current devices require manual intervention, leading to imprecision and potential complications associated with the procedure.

Abstract

The invention discloses a bladder volume measuring method and instrument. The bladder volume measuring method comprises the steps that S1, ultrasonic signals are transmitted in a plurality of directions of the bladder; S2, two reflection signals, reflected by bladder walls on two sides of the corresponding direction, of the ultrasonic signals in each direction are received; S3, the depth of the bladder in the direction is determined according to the time difference of the two reflection signals in each direction; S4, the bladder volume is determined according to the bladder depths in multipledirections. The propagation time of ultrasonic waves in the bladder is measured, and ultrasonic imaging is not needed, so that a measuring device is simplified, and the operation efficiency of the device is improved. In clinical application, results are quicker to obtain, and the efficiency of measuring the bladder volume is improved.
