The method includes the following steps: when there are 2N pieces of vector data to be sorted, settingN levels of switching units in the parallel sorting network, wherein each level of switching units includes 2N-1 switching units, and N is a natural number greater than or equal to 2, and a Kth levelof switching units is used for dividing the 2N pieces of vector data into 2N-1 vector data pairs; inputting the two pieces of vector data in the 2N-1 vector data pairs to the first input ports and thesecond input ports of the 2N-1 switching units in the Kth level; and obtaining Kth-level parallel sorted vector data output by each switching unit according to a preset control signal through the first input port and the second input port of each switching unit, and when K is smaller than N, inputting the vector data output by the Kth level of switching units to the (K+1)th level of switching units, and adding 1 to K until K is greater than N, wherein K is a natural number greater than or equal to 1 and smaller than or equal to N.
