Embodiments relate to apparatuses, methods and computer programs for determining transmission control information. The device is suitable for a baseband unit of a base station transceiver of a mobile communication system, comprising at least one output, at least one input and a control module. The control module is also configured to transmit a reference signal to one or more radio units via at least one output. The control module is also configured to receive a loopback version of the reference signal from the one or more radio units via at least one input. The control module is also configured to determine transmission control information based on attenuation of the reference signal, the attenuation of the reference signal being determined based on a loopback version of the reference signal. The transmission control information includes information related to per-radio transmission power to be used by the one or more radios for transmission on the one or more wireless fronthaul links. The control module is also configured to provide transmission control information to the one or more radios via at least one output.
