Abstract

A hearing device comprising a dynamic compressive amplification system and a method of operation the hearing device. The hearing device includes an input unit, an output unit, and a dyanmic compressive amplification system. The system includes: a level estimator unit, which supplies level estimation amount of the electric input signal; a level post-treatment unit, which supplies corrected level estimation amount of the electric input singal according to a first control signal; a electric level compressive unit, which supplies compression amplifying gain according to the corrected level estimation amount and hearing data representing hearing capability of a user; a gain post-treatment unit, which supplies corrected compression amplifying gain according to a second control signal; a controlunit, which is configured to analyze the electric input signal and supply the type of the electric input signal, and supply the first control signal and the second control signal on the basis of thetyping; and a forward gaining unit, which is used for applying the corrected compression amplifying gain to the electric input singal or a processsed version thereof.

Description

technical field [0001] The present application relates to the field of hearing devices such as hearing aids. Background technique [0002] Compression-amplification (CA) has also been designed to overcome the degradation of speech perception due to sensorineural hearing loss by restoring the audibility of softer signals while maintaining comfort with louder signals (Hearing Loss Compensation, HLC). [0003] The fitting provides target gain and compression ratios for speech in quiet situations, either specifically or generally (eg NAL-NL2 of the National Acoustic Laboratory of Australia, see eg [Keidser et al.; 2011]). The only exception to this is that Western University has produced DSLm[i / o] 5.0 for speech in noise (Desirable Perceptual Level (DSL) Version 5.0, Western University, Ontario, Canada, see e.g. [Scollie et al.; 2005] ) goals, however, to date, these goals have not been widely adopted by the hearing aid industry. [0004] In conclusion, typical CA schemes used...
