Abstract

A first region (R1) adjacent to the first curved section is provided in front of the first curved section; a second region (R2) adjacent to the second curved section is provided to the rear of the second curved section; and a first intermediate region (41) is provided positioned between the first curved section and the second curved section, in the front / rear direction (L). The basis weight of absorbent material in the first intermediate region is lower than the basis weight of absorbent material in the first and second regions. The first curved section, the second curved section, and the first intermediate region extend from a center line to beyond an intermediate point between an outside edge of the absorbent core and the center line, in the width direction.
