Abstract

A method, system and computer program product for tracking a mobile device. A reference location of the mobile device and a frequency offset between the mobile device and another device are estimated. Samples are then taken at different frequencies from the receiver. The acquired signal is mixed with the pseudo sent signal. A relative distance between the mobile device and another device is calculated based on the frequency change of the mixed signal at the current location, the speed of the mobile device, and the estimated frequency offset. The absolute distance between the mobile device and other devices is determined using the reference location and the calculated relative distance. The location of the mobile device is then determined based on the velocity of the mobile device and the determined absolute difference.
