Abstract

The invention discloses a plug-in uninstalling method and an electronic terminal. The method comprises the steps of querying a current state of a plug-in based on an uninstalling request, used for uninstalling the plug-in in an application, of a user; and if it is queried that the current state of the plug-in is a running state, adding uninstalling field information in the plug-in. The uninstalling field information is used for indicating that the plug-in is in a to-be-uninstalled state, so that if the uninstalling field information is read, it is indicated that the plug-in needs to be uninstalled. Due to the fact that the plug-in is initialized when being started next time, namely, all data of the plug-in is read to be loaded, the plug-in and related files are deleted based on the uninstalling field information when the uninstalling field information is read in the process that the plug-in is started next time. According to the method, the uninstalling field information is added in the plug-in, so that the plug-in can be uninstalled when being started next time; the implementation of the method not only does not affect the current use of the plug-in but also avoids the problem that the plug-in can be uninstalled only by closing the plug-in; and the plug-in can be conveniently uninstalled.
