Abstract

The invention provides a network searching method and a terminal, wherein the method comprises the following steps: receiving a rejection signaling sent by network side equipment of a first network; adding a tracking area to which the target cell belongs to the roaming prohibition list when the rejection reason value in the rejection signaling is the rejection reason value 12; triggering the terminal to re-search the cell; wherein the target cell is a cell to which the terminal requests access or a cell currently accessed. The embodiment of the invention adds a roaming prohibition list to a tracking area belonging to a target cell which sends a rejection reason value 12 to the terminal, so that the terminal judges that the target cell is an inappropriate cell, thereby triggering the terminal to search the network again, avoiding the terminal staying in the target cell for a long time, and enabling the terminal to be in an offline state.
