Abstract

The invention discloses a design method of a low-complexity variable rate hybrid automatic repeat quest of incremental redundancy (HARQ-IR), belonging to the technical field of wireless communication.The method comprises following steps: firstly, the HARQ-IR transmission rate per round is designed to maximize spectral efficiency and ensure low outage probability; in order to reduce the computational complexity and expand the application range, the Beckman channel model is used to derive the approximate expression of the interrupt probability and spectral efficiency of the variable rate HARQ-IR and theapproximate expressions of IR outage probability and spectral efficiency are substituted into the original problem. Then the optimization problem is decoupled into a series of univariate quantum optimization problems by using alternating iterative algorithm. Finally, the concave fractional optimization technique is used to transform each sub-optimization problem into a convex problem forglobal solution, and the Dinkelbach algorithm is executed iteratively until each sub-optimization problem converges. Compared with the traditional precise design method of constant rate HARQ-IR,the method has the advantages of wide application range, low complexity and high spectral efficiency.
