More recently, cheaper and simpler ultrasound imaging devices have been introduced. Such imaging devices may include ultrasound transducers monolithically integrated onto a single semiconductor die to form a monolithic ultrasound device. Such an ultrasound device on a chip is described in U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 15 / 415,434, entitled "UNIVERSAL ULTRASOUND DEVICE AND RELATED APPARATUS AND METHODS," filed January 25, 2017 (and assigned to the assignee of the present application). Abstract

Aspects of the technology described herein relate to techniques for guiding an operator in use of an ultrasound device. Accordingly, an operator with little or no experience operating ultrasound devices can capture medically relevant ultrasound images and / or interpret the content of the obtained ultrasound images. For example, some of the techniques disclosed herein can be used to: identify a particular anatomical view of a subject to be imaged with an ultrasound device, guide an operator of an ultrasound device to capture an ultrasound image of a subject that includes a particular anatomical view, and / or analyze the captured ultrasound image. ultrasound images to identify medical information about the subject.
