Abstract

The invention, which belongs to the technical field of signal processing, discloses a detection method for a distance-extended target. The detection method comprises: setting a transmission signal ofa high-resolution radar and respectively determining echo signals, received by the high-resolution radar, of two adjacent distance units; setting a reference signal and removing carrier frequencies inthe echo signals of two adjacent distance units to obtain two mixed output signals; carrying out sampling on the two mixed output signals respectively to obtain two corresponding discrete signals; calculating mutual S expressions and singular values of the two discrete signal; constructing two time-frequency decomposition features according to the singular values and using the two time-frequencydecomposition features as two detection statistic amounts of the target respectively; and determining detection thresholds corresponding to the two detection statistic amounts of the target respectively and thus carrying out target detection according to the two detection statistic amounts and the corresponding detection threshold. Therefore, the target in high-speed motion is detected; and the method has the constant-false-alarm characteristic and can be applied to detection of the distance-extended target immersed in white Gaussian noises.
