Abstract

The invention discloses a document online preview method based on a distributed object storage system. An online preview request of the client for the target document can be responded; the method comprises the steps that a target document stored in a storage cluster is acquired, then the document format of the target document is converted into a preset document format in the storage cluster, and finally the target document in the preset document format is sent to a client side so that online preview can be conducted on the client side conveniently, and the preset document format is the document format suitable for online preview on the client side. Therefore, when the client requests for online previewing of the document, format conversion can be carried out on the document on the storagecluster side, the problems that due to the fact that document format conversion is carried out on the client, too many computing resources are occupied, and online previewing delay is high are solved,and the use experience of a user is improved.
