The method comprises the steps of S1 obtaining the health samples of hydroelectric generatingsets working at different water heads in the normal starting process, wherein the health samples comprise working condition parameter data and N types of stability parameter data; S2 dividing workingwater head intervals of the hydroelectric generating set, and arranging health samples of the normal starting process of the hydroelectric generating set in each water head interval according to eachwater head interval; S3 extracting health samples in each water head interval, and drawing a stability parameter peak-to-peak health region corresponding to each type of stability parameters in eachwater head interval; and S4 monitoring the starting process of the hydroelectric generating set to be evaluated in real time, and calculating the overall stability state evaluation index of the starting process of the hydroelectric generating set to be evaluated. According to the method, the starting process of the hydroelectric generating set can be effectively monitored, and the stable state degree of the starting process of the set is quantitatively evaluated, so that the stable operation of the set is guaranteed, and the guidance suggestions are provided for stable operation of the starting process of the hydroelectric generating set.
