Abstract

The top cover assembly of the secondary battery includes a top cover plate having an air hole; a first electrode terminal insulated from the top cover plate; a second electrode terminal electrically connected with the top cover plate; a conductive part electrically connected with the first electrode terminal and insulated from the top cover plate; an overturning sheet attached to the top cover plate and configured to flip in response to an increase in an internal pressure of the secondary battery so as to electrically connect the overturning sheet to the conductive part; and a sealing plug sealing the air hole and having a lower melting point than that of the top cover plate, and configured to deform in response to an increase in an ambient temperature where the secondary battery is located to disengage a sealed state with the air hole. The overcharge problem of the secondary battery under thenormal temperature condition can be solved, meanwhile, gas generated inside the secondary battery can be discharged in time in the high-temperature environment, and accidents such as electrode assembly explosion caused by short circuit of a positive plate and a negative plate of the secondary battery in the high-temperature environment are avoided.
