[0051]

[0052] The method for preparing the rubber composition according to the present invention is not particularly limited, and the rubber composition can be prepared by mixing the above-mentioned ingredients and optionally further vulcanizing the resulting mixture by a known method.

[0053] (tire)

[0054] The tire according to the invention comprises a tread, a sidewall or a combination thereof using any of the aforementioned rubber compositions. The tire has a highly balanced static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance.

[0055] The manufacturing method of the tire is not particularly limited, and tire manufacturing methods known in the art can be used.

Embodiment 1-12 and comparative example 1-5

[0073] Petroleum waxes having the compositions shown in Table 1 were prepared by mixing different amounts of the following microcrystalline waxes: N (manufactured by Ouchi Shinko Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), SW (manufactured by Seiko Chemical Co., Ltd.) and 0111 and 0301 (manufactured by Nippon Seika Co., Ltd.). Rubber compositions of Examples and Comparative Examples having the compositions shown in Table 1 were then prepared. Each rubber composition was evaluated for static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance as described below.

[0074]

[0075] According to "Static ozone degradation test" of JIS K 6259:2004, the crack size after 24 hours was measured at an ozone concentration of 500±50 ppb (50±5 pphm), 40° C. and 20% tensile strain. The static ozone resistance was evaluated based on the following criteria.

[0076] Grade 4: No cracks appear

[0077] Grade 3: Cracks with a size of 1 mm or less appear

[0078] Grade 2: Cracks...

Abstract

Provided is a rubber composition that achieves a high level of balance between static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance. Also provided is a tire that achieves a high level of balance between static ozone resistance, dynamic ozone resistance and discoloration resistance. This rubber composition contains a rubber component, a petroleum wax and an anti-aging agent, wherein the petroleum wax contains a hydrocarbon component having 20-34 carbon atoms and a hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms, and the mass proportion of the hydrocarbon componenthaving 20-34 carbon atoms is 15-30 mass% and the mass proportion of the hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms is 70-85 mass%, each relative to the total mass of the hydrocarbon component having 20-34 carbon atoms and the hydrocarbon component having 35 or more carbon atoms.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to rubber compositions and tires. Background technique [0002] Tires have a problem with the early development of ozone cracks due to the ozone in the air. [0003] In order to solve this problem, ozone cracking resistance has been improved by increasing the amount of antiaging agent compounded into the rubber composition. [0004] However, an increase in the amount of the anti-aging agent compounded into the rubber composition may cause the tire product to show a bad appearance due to a color change to brown during storage before sale. Therefore, there is a trade-off between ozone crack resistance (hereinafter referred to simply as "ozone resistance") and discoloration resistance. [0005] In order to provide a rubber composition capable of properly preventing ozone-induced degradation in a relatively high-temperature region to provide an excellent appearance, Patent Document 1 proposes a rubber composition containing ...
