The method comprises steps of determining whether a vehicle has activated an automatic congestionassisted driving function; if so, acquiring the current position and the driving direction of the vehicle, and calculating the predicted arrival time of the vehicle reaching the nearest intersectionin the current driving direction; determining whether the predicted arrival time is less than a preset prompting time threshold, and if so, reminding a driver of the intersection ahead. When the automatic congestion assisted driving function is activated, the method can remind the driver in advance to pay attention to the intersection ahead in order to avoid guiding the vehicle to other destinations.
