Abstract

A system and method for predicting cellular network performance based on observed performance metric data from cells in the cellular network. The method includes accessing a set of observed performance metrics data, the performance metrics data comprising time series measures of performance metrics of the cellular network. The method then classifies the cell as one of a high load growth cell and a high load no growth cell based on the observed performance data. Based on said classification of said cell, said method calculates a future value of at least one performance indicator based on test data of said cell in said observed performance indicator data using a predictive model. The predictive model is derived from training data in the observed performance indicator data. Outputting an indication of the future value of the at least one performance indicator when the future value exceeds a warning value.
