Abstract

The invention relates to an operating device (1) for controlling functions of a motor vehicle, comprising an operating element (3) which can be displaced from a rest position beyond a first actuatingposition into a second actuating position. The operating device has a control unit (2) which is designed to actuate, in accordance with a function which is assigned to the operating element (3), a display device (5) for displaying information associated with the function if the operating element (3) is positioned in the first actuating position. Furthermore, the control unit (2) is designed to trigger the function if the operating element (3) is positioned in the second actuating position. Thus the operating device (1) is designed to output a tactilely perceptible feedback in at least one of the positions of the operating element (3).
