Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: step 1: performing a uniaxial strain test on a shale sample to obtaincircumferential deformation of a thick-walled sleeve; step 2: calculating the lateral stress of the sample by using the circumferential deformation of the thick-walled sleeve; step 3: drawing an axial-lateral stress curve chart in a linear coordinate system; and step 4: determining the preconsolidation pressure according to the axial-lateral stress curve chart. The obtained preconsolidation pressure of the shale is used for calculating an overconsolidation ratio OCR of the shale, disclosing the brittle ductility characteristics of the shale under specific geological conditions, and identifyingshale crack formation evolution characteristics, and the obtained result data have an important application value in the shale gas exploration and development, and the selection of shale gas "geological dessert" and "engineering dessert".
