Abstract

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a passenger conveyor. Provided is a passenger conveyor capable of balancing both power saving and convenience. The passenger conveyor according to this embodiment includes a plurality of steps, a driving device, a detection unit, a calculation unit, and a control system. The steps are suspended between the departure floor and the target floor by apair of sprocket wheels and are connected to each other. The driving device drives the steps. The detection section detects passengers who boarded the steps from the departure floor.
