Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an overvoltage deduction prediction method and a device based on voltage waveform attenuation. The method comprises following steps: measuring the line voltage values of any two points at the two sides of a lightning stroke fault point, and calculating the overvoltage data of the lightning stroke fault point based on the voltage attenuation rule of a powertransmission line; when the power transmission line is subjected to lightning stroke, large overvoltage is generated at a lightning stroke fault point, and the overvoltage traveling wave will attenuate and propagate to the two sides of the line according to a certain attenuation coefficient, the voltage attenuation coefficient of the line is calculated by measuring the voltage at different positions of the line, and overvoltage data of the lightning stroke point are calculated, therefore, the overvoltage data of the lightning stroke fault point of the line can be quickly determined, and corresponding reference bases are provided for lightning protection level of the power transmission line and installation of lightning arrester parameters of corresponding levels at different positions.
