The present application generally relates noise and vibration mitigation in a vehicle. More specifically, the application teaches a system and method for applying a noise and vibration constraint to avehicle subsystem, measuring a sound level within the vehicle cabin, determining the sound level exceeds a threshold level making the noise constraint redundant and removing the noise constraint in response to the sound level exceeding the threshold level.
