The electrode of the lithium-sulfur battery comprises a current collector, wherein a micro-crack carbon nanotube layer, an active substance layer, a carbon nanotube and a lithium titanate composite interlayer are sequentially arranged on the surface of the current collector. The preparation method of the lithium-sulfur battery electrode comprises the following steps: 1, preparing the micro-crack carbon nanotube layer; 2, preparing an active substance layer; 3, preparing a carbon nanotube and lithium titanate nanosphere composite material; and 4, preparing the composite interlayer. Meanwhile, the invention also provides a lithium-sulfur battery containing the electrode. The invention provides a lithium-sulfur battery electrode with a sandwich structure. According to the invention, the current collector with a large specific surface area and the interlayer with excellent performance are adopted, so that the binding force between an active substance and the current collector is increased, the volume change of the active substance is buffered, the shuttle effect is limited, the conductivity of the electrode is further improved, the cycle performance and the rate capability of the battery are enhanced, and an efficient energy storage and conversion mechanism is realized.
