The invention provides a fast and efficient 3D-HEVC method for reducing complexity, and the method comprises the steps: firstly starting a decision of a tree block, and exporting prediction variableson the corresponding tree block of space-time, a previously coded view and texture depth; identifying the motion complexity of the adjacent tree block and the current tree block according to the prediction variable, and dividing the current tree block into a static motion tree block and a complex motion tree block; adaptively skipping the CU depth levels of the texture tree block and the depth tree block according to the motion characteristics of the static or complex motion tree block; and calculating the rate distortion cost of the current tree block and the rate distortion cost value of theadjacent tree block according to the prediction variable, skipping unnecessary mode decisions, and terminating mode prediction in advance.
