Abstract

Embodiments provide a magnetic disk device in which a decrease in positioning accuracy due to humidity is suppressed. A magnetic disk device according to an embodiment includes a magnetic disk, a magnetic head, an actuator, an accommodating part, a servo controller, a sensor, and a control circuit. The magnetic head accesses the magnetic disk. The actuator moves the magnetic head. The accommodating part accommodates the magnetic disk, the magnetic head, and the actuator. The servo controller performs positioning control of the actuator. The sensor outputs a value corresponding to the humidityin the accommodating part. The control circuit adjusts a gain of the positioning control based on an output value of the humidity sensor.
