Abstract
The invention relates to a salt box assembly and a water softener. The salt box assembly comprises a salt box and a middle supporting cover capable of covering an opening of the salt box, wherein theinner side face of an opening of the salt box is a rough positioning face; a fine positioning notch is formed in the end face of the opening of the salt box; and a rough positioning protrusion and a fine positioning protrusion are arranged on the middle supporting cover. In the process that the middle supporting cover covers the salt box, the rough positioning protrusion is propped against the rough positioning surface, and the fine positioning protrusion is propped against the fine positioning notch. The rough positioning protrusion and the rough positioning surface are matched for preliminary positioning, then the fine positioning protrusion is matched with the fine positioning notch, and therefore, the process of installation is faster. After matching is completed, based on tight matching between the fine positioning protrusions and the fine positioning notch, connection between the middle supporting cover and the salt box is tighter and more reliable.
