The method comprises the following steps: S1, performing network configuration, and starting an updating and maintaining module, a to-be-updated vehicle-mounted board card and a vehicle-mounted switch; S2, selecting a to-be-updated software package of the to-be-updated vehicle-mounted board card; S3, enabling the updating and maintaining module to acquire and verify a software updating package of the to-be-updated software package; S4, allowing the updating and maintaining module to send an updating request to the to-be-updated vehicle-mounted board card where each to-be-updated software package is located; and S5, enabling the to-be-updated vehicle-mounted board card where the to-be-updated software package is located to receive the updating request and to download and operate the software updating package of the updating and maintaining module to achieve updating of the software package.
