Abstract

The invention relates to a dialysis device having a dialyzer and having a first balancing chamber and a second balancing chamber, a first inlet of the first balancing chamber half being fluidically connected to a source of fresh dialysate and a first outlet of the first balancing chamber half being fluidically connected to the dialyzer inlet, and a second inlet of the second balancing chamber half being fluidically connected to the dialyzer inlet. The second inlet of the second balancing chamber half is fluidically connected to the dialysate outlet and the second outlet of the second balancing chamber half is fluidically connected to the drainage tube, and wherein a third balancing chamber is provided having two balancing chamber halves which are separated from one another by a movable wall, and wherein the second inlet of the second balancing chamber half is fluidically connected to the dialysate outlet and the second outlet of the second balancing chamber half is fluidically connected to the drainage tube. Wherein each of the balancing chamber halves has an inlet and an outlet, each of which is provided with a valve, which is designed to close or open the respective inlet or outlet, the two inlets being fluidically connected to a fresh dialysate source, and the two outlets being fluidically connected to the dialyzer inlet.
