The present disclosure relates to a storage compartment for a motor vehicle, comprising a receiving chamber having an access opening for access to the receiving chamber; and a first and a second lid, each lid being pivotably arranged relative to the receiving chamber between a first and a second closed position; first and second rotational elements, the former rotating about a first rotational axis, the latter rotatably connected to the first rotational element about a second rotational axis and rotatably connected to the first cover about a third rotational axis; third and fourth rotational elements, one rotating about a fourth rotational axis, the latter rotatably connected to the third rotational element about a fifth rotational axis, and rotatably connected to the second cover about a sixth rotational axis; and a connection element rotatably connecting the first rotation element about a seventh rotation axis, and rotatably connecting the third rotation element about an eighth rotation axis, where the seventh rotation axis is disposed between the first and second rotation axes, and the fourth rotation axis is disposed between the eighth and fifth rotation axes.
