Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to a packet-based positioning reference signal (PRS) resource mapping and configuration method and device and a computer readable storage medium. In an example embodiment, a location server determines a set of neighboring base stations based on geographic locations of the base stations. A location server allocates at least one time domain resource and a set of frequency domain resources for a set of PRSs to be transmitted by a set of neighboring base stations. The location server also sends an indication to a set of neighboring base stations indicating at least one time domain resource and a set of frequency domain resources.
