Abstract

The present invention is one digital display rubber ring length measuring instrument for measuring the perimeter of elastic rubber ring. According to relevant specification, rated tension is applied during measurement. The instrument includes steel pedestal, main frame, upper measuring head, lower measuring head, guide rod, hand wheel, link rod mechanism, and air damper comprising cylinder, piston and throttle valve. Regulating the opening of the throttle valve makes the speed for the lower measuring head to contact the rubber ring approach zero, and this ensures the rated force applied and the accurate measurement. The measurement process includes moving the hand wheel to shift the lower measuring head to the upper end of the guide rod, jacketing the rubber ring on the semi-circular column of the measuring heads, releasing hand wheel to make the lower measuring head move downward to reach the rubber ring, and displaying digits.
