Abstract

An audio encoding / decoding method and apparatus for reproducing high-quality audio signals without loss of high-frequency bands by using time-scale compression / expansion. The method includes encoding an input audio signal into audio data by determining similarities between frames of the input audio signal, compressing the input audio signal with respect to time stamping, generating frame time stamp modification flags, and then based on the frames The time stamp modification flag decodes the audio data of the encoded audio signal.
