Problems solved by technology

The disadvantages are: due to the poor miscibility of polysiloxane and polymer, separation of the composition and migration of polysiloxane moieties can occur
Its disadvantage is that when producing polysiloxane-modified polyvinyl acetals by polymer-like reactions, the synthesis process is very unstable with side reactions and can lead to mixtures or products to be crosslinked
Furthermore, the often unstable and often insufficient incorporation of the polysiloxane moiety can lead to phase separation and product separation

[0056] Three types with about 100 SiOMe 2 A mixture of polydimethylsiloxane units containing 5% by weight of non-functionalized polydimethylsiloxane, 35% by weight of α-monovinyl functionalized polydimethylsiloxane and 60% by weight % α,ω-divinyl functionalized polydimethylsiloxane.

[0057] VIPO 200: with about 100 SiOMe 2 units of α,ω-divinyl polydimethylsiloxane.

Embodiment a

[0060] Into a 120 l stirred vessel with anchor stirrer, reflux condenser and metering device, 54.65 kg of ethyl acetate, 303.33 g of PDMS mixture (=Dehesive 929), 5.47 kg of isopropanol, 44.71 g of PPV ( tert-butyl perpivalate, 75% solution in aliphatic compound) and 2.73 kg of vinyl acetate. The precharge was subsequently heated to 70° C. at a stirrer speed of 95 rpm. After the internal temperature had reached 70° C., the metering of initiator (4.10 kg ethyl acetate and 173.91 g PPV) was started at a rate of 826 g / h. 10 minutes after initiation of the initiator metering, the monomers (2.43 kg of PDMS mixture and 21.86 kg of vinyl acetate) were metered in at a rate of 6.08 kg / hour. The initiator metering took 310 minutes, the monomer metering was stopped 60 minutes earlier. After completion of the metered addition of the two components, an afterpolymerization was carried out at 70° C. for a further 120 minutes. The resulting polymer solution was subsequently heated for dist...

The precharge was subsequently heated to 70° C. at a stirrer speed of 95 rpm. After the internal temperature had reached 70° C., the metering of initiator (4.07 kg ethyl acetate and 201.33 g PPV) was started at a rate of 827 g / h. 10 minutes after the start of the initiator metering, the monomers (3.86 kg of PDMS mixture and 20.25 kg of vinyl acetate) were metered in at a rate of 6.03 kg / hour. The initiator metering took 310 minutes, the monomer metering was stopped 60 minutes earlier. After completion of the metered addition of the two components, an afterpolymerization was carried out at 70° C. for a further 120 minutes. Abstract

The invention relates to silicone-containing polyvinyl acetals that can be obtained by: 1) copolymerizing; a) one or more vinyl esters of unbranched or branched alkyl carboxylic acids having 1 to 15 C atoms, and; b) one or more silicone macromeres having at least one polymerizable group; 2) subsequently saponifying the copolymer to produce silicone-containing polyvinyl alcohol, and; 3) subsequently acetalizing the silicone-containing polyvinyl alcohol with one or more aldehydes from the groups containing aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes having 1 to 15 C atoms.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to polysiloxane-containing polyvinyl acetal, its production method and its use. Background technique [0002] Since polyvinyl acetal was disclosed in 1924, many aldehydes have been used to manufacture corresponding polyvinyl acetals. Polyvinyl acetal is produced by a three-stage method (polyvinyl acetate → polyvinyl alcohol → polyvinyl acetal), and the resulting product contains vinyl alcohol units and vinyl acetate units in addition to vinyl acetal groups . In particular polyvinyl formal, polyvinyl acetal and polyvinyl butyral (PVB) are of commercial interest. The largest areas of application for polyvinyl acetal are the manufacture of safety glass in the automotive industry and in the construction industry, where plasticized polyvinyl butyral films are used as interlayers in glazing. Another field of application of polyvinyl acetal is anti-corrosion coatings. Due to their excellent pigment adhesion, polyvinyl acetals...
