no. 1 Embodiment approach

[0091] Next, a first embodiment of the present invention will be described. The system structure of this embodiment is the same as that described above figure 1 have the same structure.

[0092] Image 6 is a block diagram of the terminal 102. Additionally, with figure 2 The same structures are denoted by the same symbols, and their detailed descriptions are omitted.

[0093] Image 6 Terminal 102 shown with figure 2 The structure shown differs by having an identification portion 612 . The recognition section 612 recognizes that the user 101 clicks on a link pointing to a specific URL.

[0094] Figure 7It is a schematic diagram of the sequence between the terminal 102 and the content server 201 in the first embodiment of the present invention.

[0095] User 101 clicks on a link pointing to a particular URL (step 501). An example of the specific URL may be a portal site or the like that gathers services. The link of this specific URL is specifically described as s...

no. 2 Embodiment approach

[0103] Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0104] In the first embodiment, the location processing starts when the user 101 clicks on a link to a specific URL. In the second embodiment, a configuration in which positioning processing is started when a specific keyword included in content received from the content server 201 is detected will be described. The block diagram of the terminal 102 in this embodiment is used in the same manner as in the first embodiment Image 6 .

[0105] In this embodiment, the identifying section 612 identifies whether or not the positioning request "? gps_start" is included in the content from the content server 201 .

[0106] Figure 8 It is a schematic diagram of the content flow between the terminal 102 and the content server 201 in this embodiment.

[0107] When the user 101 clicks on a link pointing to a specific URL (step 2001), the terminal 102 requests content from the content server 201 (step 2002)...

no. 3 Embodiment approach

[0113] Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described.

[0114] In the above-mentioned first embodiment, the following structure has been described, that is, when the link pointing to a specific URL is clicked, the terminal 102 performs positioning processing and holds the positioning result, and when the link containing the positioning result request is clicked, the held positioning results. However, if the terminal moves during a period of time from clicking a link to a specific URL to clicking a link including a request for a positioning result, the held positioning result becomes incorrect. Therefore, in this embodiment, a configuration in which positioning results are refreshed at fixed time intervals will be described.

[0115] Figure 9 It is a block diagram of the terminal 102 in this embodiment. used in the description of the above-mentioned embodiment Image 6 The same structural components are denoted by the same symbols, and the detailed de...

Abstract

When a user (101) clicks to a specific URL (step 501), a terminal (102) transmits a content request to a content server (201) (step 502) and simultaneously with this, starts a position measurement process (step 203). When the position measurement process is complete (step 204), the measurement result is held in a memory of the terminal (102) (step 503). When the user (101) clicks a link having a measurement result request (step 202), the terminal (102) acquires the position of the terminal itself from the memory and transmits a content request having the position information to the content server (201). Thus, it is possible to reduce the time which the user feels as a waiting time when receiving a position information service.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a location information service providing system and its method, especially to the control of the method used when determining the geographic location of a mobile station in a mobile communication network. Background technique [0002] In recent years, many services using location information of mobile phone terminals have been proposed and actually operated. Next, a method for providing location information services on a conventional mobile communication network will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. [0003] figure 1 It is a schematic diagram of the general structure of the mobile communication network. [0004] like figure 1 As shown, a base station 301 is connected to an RNC (Radio Network Controller: radio network controller) 302 . RNC 302 and content server 305 are connected to core network 303 . The content server 305 provides various contents. Terminal 102 is connected to and communi...
