System and method for creating and posting media lists for purposes of subsequent playback

A method and apparatus for creating and posting media is provided. For example, the invention allows a user to quickly create, signal process, encode, and transfer media files to a server for storage, posting, distribution, and retrieval. Thus, media such as audio, video, display, photo, spreadsheet, Web Clips, and HTML pages can be combined into a media file for uploading to a server and accessed from listings posted at web sites. In accordance with embodiments, a user downloads and installs a plug-in at the user's client computer. The user then registers and logs onto the server to perform various tasks. For example, the user can create a combined audio and photo media file at the client computer, in accordance with server based control parameters received from the system server. The plug-in then allows the user to perform digital signal processing and encoding of the media file at the client computer. After the file is encoded, it may be uploaded to a server for storage, posting, distribution, and retrieval. A file management system provides copies and listings of the file to other servers and web sites as permitted. Thus, other user having access to the database or web site lists via other client computers may select the file for retrieval. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, an information management system provides file and file list rankings based upon selection or click through of files and file listings.

System, method and computer medium for trading interface

What is disclosed is a computer-implemented method for generating a right transfer instruction regarding a transferable right in a priced item. The process includes the steps of graphically presenting a chart of a price of the priced item versus time; and setting a trigger control overlaid on the chart that is responsive to the price to initiate the right transfer instruction when the price reaches a predetermined relationship to a particular price for the priced item. An apparatus includes a communications system for receiving and processing a series of price-indicators for one or more priced items; a presentation system for displaying the series of price-indicators in a graphic format; and a controller, coupled to the communications system, for overlaying one or more interface controls on the series of price-indicators, the controller responsive to user input instructions directed to the one or more overlaying controls for setting a parameter of the one or more controls and for initiating a right transfer process when one or more of price-indicators has a predetermined relationship to the parameter of the one or more controls. An article of manufacture, comprising a program storage medium readable by a computer and embodying one or more instructions executable by the computer for generating a right transfer instruction regarding a transferable right in a priced item presented by the computer, the computer having a computer program application that displays a graphical representation of price history of the priced item, the program storage medium including computer code including I / O access commands, wherein: computer program code presenting graphically a chart of a price of the priced item versus time; and setting a trigger control, using the I / O access commands, overlaid on the chart that is responsive to the price to initiate the right transfer instruction when the price reaches a predetermined relationship to a particular price for the priced item.

Creating master recipes for manufacturing products

A method is provided for automatically creating a set of master recipes from a general recipe using site information. Each master recipe includes a plurality of recipe segments. The general recipe includes a plurality of process actions. Each master recipe is for manufacturing at least one product from at least one input material by performing the process actions on the at least one input material. Each master recipe is for use with a specific set of equipment in a process cell. Each process action has one or more corresponding recipe segments that implement the process action on the set of equipment. The general recipe describes how to manufacture the at least one product from the at least one input material by performing the process actions on the at least one input material. The general recipe is independent of equipment. The method includes a first step of creating a list of recipe segments from the general recipe and the site information. The list of recipe segments includes each process action in the general recipe and a listing of all the corresponding recipe segments for that process action which can perform that process action in the process cell. The method includes a second step of creating the set of master recipes from the list of recipe segments, the general recipe, and the site information.

Percutaneous transmyocardial revascularization (PTMR) system

Percutaneous transmyocardial revascularizaton systems are disclosed for creating thin, linear incisions through the endocardium and partially into the myocardium. The systems mitigate the deficiencies of current approaches that position a distal tip channeling mechanism against the endocardial surface. The systems position a catheter body lengthwise along the endocardial surface and incorporate a cutting mechanism movable radially relative to the catheter body to create one or more elongate thin, linear incisions along one or more windows through the catheter body. Flexible support strands are used to urge each window into intimate contact with the endocardial surface. Each cutting element is adapted to protrude radially outward from the catheter body to contact tissue adjacent each window. The cutting mechanism incorporates a mechanical cutting element or an electrode designed to transmit direct current or radiofrequency energy into tissue to simultaneously cut and coagulate tissue. The catheter also can infuse a therapeutic agent directly into the incisions to encourage angiogenesis. The catheter also cuts thin, linear incisions capable of ablating arrhythmia substrates by disrupting electrical propagation through the affected myocardium.
