Problems solved by technology

Since the optical drive 100 operates at a very fast speed, the fragments fly out at a high speed, which can easily injure the user and cause safety problems.
The main reason is that the gap between the components in the current optical drive is still too large, and the strength against the ejection of the optical disc is still insufficient.

no. 1 example

[0014] Referring to FIG. 2A and FIG. 2B at the same time, FIG. 2A and FIG. 2B show perspective views of different viewing angles of the optical drive. The optical drive 200 includes: a body 201 , an upper cover 203 , a baffle 205 , a pivot member 204 , a front cover 207 and a tray 209 . The tray 209 is movably disposed in the body 201 , and the tray 209 is used for carrying disks. The baffle 205 has an opening 205 a for allowing the tray 209 to enter and exit the body 201 . The pivot member 204 is fixed on the tray 209 . The front cover 207 is rotatably fixed on one side of the tray 209 through the pivot member 204 , and the front cover 207 can rotate around the pivot member 204 around the direction A. The upper cover 203 is disposed on the top surface of the main body 201 and engages with the baffle plate 205 , and its preferred material is metal.

[0015] Referring to FIG. 2C and FIG. 2D, FIG. 2C shows a cross-sectional view of the optical drive, and FIG. 2D shows a parti...

[0018] Referring to FIG. 3, FIG. 3 shows a partial cross-sectional view of the optical drive of the second embodiment. In the second embodiment, the optical drive 300 is disposed on the upper and lower sides of the front cover 307 and the bezel 305 by adding a plurality of sponges, such as sponges 311 and 312 . These stickers 311 and 312 are used to seal the front cover 307 and the bezel 305 so as to reduce the gap between the front cover 307 and the bezel 305 , and also have the effect of preventing the optical drive from generating noise.

[0019] In the optical drive and the mechanism for preventing disc bursts from flying out disclosed in the above-mentioned embodiments of the present invention, the pivot member and joint body are provided to cooperate with the difference in the thickness of the front cover, so that the lower side of the front cover first contacts the baffle plate and then drives The upper side of the front cover is against the baffle to reduce the gap bet...

Abstract

A CD-ROM comprises a main-body, a tray, a baffle and a front cover. The tray is installed in the main-body movably, and the baffle has an opening to enable the tray passing in and out to the main-body. The front cover pivots rotatably at one side of the tray. When the tray moving into the main-body, the underside of the front cover contacts with the underside of the baffle, and the upside of the front cover contacts with the upside of the baffle, to prevent the debris of the broken disk flying off from gap of the baffle and the front cover.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an optical drive, in particular to an optical drive which prevents discs from bursting and flying out. Background technique [0002] In the CD-ROM drive, occasionally there will be a burst of film. Generally, there are several reasons for bursting, including: the quality of the disc is poor, the disc is eccentric, or the environment of the disc drive is not good. When the thickness of the optical disc is insufficient or uneven, under the high-speed rotation of the optical drive, the optical disc cannot bear the high-speed centrifugal force and warps, breaks away and breaks. And if the environment where the optical drive is located is too humid and the temperature changes drastically, the optical disc is easily embrittled and thus decomposes and breaks during high-speed rotation. [0003] Referring to FIG. 1, FIG. 1 shows a partial cross-sectional view of a conventional optical drive. The optical drive 100 includes: a top cov...
