Benefits of technology

[0005] A sliding wooden tray includes portable DVD player and a slid able tray supporting it. The tray has attached thereto two major rails that are vertically mounted to the underneath of a table or booth inside a restaurant with the lip of the table or booth identical that of the sliding tray whenever the sliding tray is in a rested or closed position. When the tray is extended outward for viewing purposes, the tray allows the operator to open the portable DVD player and therefore function the machine.

Problems solved by technology

When the keyboard or mouse is not in use, the tray is pushed back underneath the table or desk and thus does not provide an obstacle to persons walking past the desk or table.

Abstract

A method for providing entertainment inside a restaurant includes a portable DVD player mounted on a sliding wooden tray underneath a table or booth inside the restaurant. The customers of the restaurant choose what movie they would like to view from a menu while dining at the restaurant by contacting the waiter. The waiter selects the DVD movie and inserts it in the portable DVD player by sliding the wooden tray from underneath the table or booth. The customers then proceed to view the DVD movie with a remote that is given to them by the waiter. Once the customer(s) is ready to leave the restaurant, the customer is given the bill and leaves the DVD movie for the waiter to collect, and closes the portable DVD player along with sliding the wooden tray back underneath the table or booth. The portable DVD player is securely fixed underneath the table with an anti-theft wire.
