Benefits of technology

[0005]Board games have long been used for entertainment and education. Games involving strategic placement of game tokens on a patterned board have been particularly popular. As long as individuals continue to enjoy leisure time, a demand for such games will continue, and challenging, new forms of games will be desired. The present invention provides both a desirable and challenging leisure time diversion board game suitable for two or four players. If two players are playing, each player receives ten game tokens. If four players are playing, each player receives five game tokens. The game tokens assigned to each player can be identical. The game tokens of opposing players should be distinguishable based on any or all of the following recognizable attributes including size, shape, color and design and or a combination of any of the preceding attributes. The game tokens should be of a size and shape to rest against the game board and substantially occupy the vertices of the game board. The game board has a pattern which is comprised of three concentric parallelograms of increasing perimeter with identical aspect ratios and orientations connected by eight lines with intersections defining twenty-four vertices. The four lines connecting the respective corners of the concentric parallelograms form twelve vertices, and four lines bisecting the respective sides of the parallelograms so that the connecting lines are equidistant from the terminus of each respective side to form the remaining twelve vertices. In one embodiment of the present game, it is the objective of the game using the above described game board to achieve a con

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014]Referring now to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals designate identical or corresponding parts throughout the several views, FIG. 1 discloses and describes a patterned game board 12 in which an inner parallelogram 1 is concentric with both a middle parallelogram 2 and an outer parallelogram 3. The inner parallelogram 1, middle parallelogram 2 and outer parallelogram 3 have identical aspect ratios and are arranged and oriented so that no side of the inner parallelogram 1 intersects any side of either the middle parallelogram 2 or outer parallelogram 3, so that no side of the middle parallelogram 2 intersects any side of either the outer parallelogram 3 and so that the middl...

Abstract

A game board comprising a game board surface having a pattern including three concentric parallelograms arranged so that no side of any parallelogram intersects another parallelogram. A set of four lines originating at the corners of the first parallelogram and terminating at the corners of the third parallelogram to intersect the corners of the second parallelogram and a set of four lines originating between the corners of the first parallelogram, the arrangement of said sets of lines forming a pattern having twenty-four vertices upon said game board and wherein said game board surface allows contact with a game token is disclosed. A game may be played with two or four players in a multitude of ways using twenty game tokens with an object being strategic linear arrangement of the game tokens for removal of the individual's assigned game tokens or those of the opposing players.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION[0001]The invention relates to board games. The embodiments shown and described herein are more particularly for board games in which players move game tokens to certain spaces on a patterned board in order to align the game tokens in a specific manner, and for a new and challenging method of play.CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS[0002]NoneSTATEMENT REGARDING FEDERALLY SPONSORED RESEARCH OR DEVELOPMENT[0003]No federal funds were used to develop or create the invention disclosed and described in the patent application.REFERENCE TO SEQUENCE LISTING, A TABLE, OR A COMPUTER PROGRAM LISTING COMPACT DISK APPENDIX[0004]Not ApplicableSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION[0005]Board games have long been used for entertainment and education.
