A storage drawer (1) for banknotes and valuables adapted to be positioned in the vicinity of a cash register and comprising: a storage structure (2) defining a holding volume; a first external opening (2a) formed in said storage structure (2) and suitable to enable access to the holding volume and being adapted to allow insertion of a removable tray (3) in said holding volume; an additional housing (6) fastened to said storage structure (2) and adapted to delimit a portion of the holding volume, said additional housing (6) defining a separate collection chamber (6a); and insertion means (7) formed at said additional housing (6) and adapted to enable insertion of valuables and banknotes into the separate collection chamber (6a).
